SECRETARY

Kristin Cardin, MS, LAT, ATC

kcardin@ecommunity.com

Kristin passed her BOC exam through the internship route to become an Athletic Trainer in 1995 after finding her passion for this great profession in undergrad at Colgate University. She received her MS in Kinesiology/Athletic Training from Indiana University in 1996. Her early career allowed her to work and travel in D1 collegiate athletics at Marist College (NY) and then Fairfield University (CT). As her personal family priorities took precedence, her later career choice in Indianapolis included a decade of PRN work in area middle and high schools and colleges, often chosen for large events like NFL combine training, NCAA Lax playoffs, Big 10 tournaments. Kristin returned to FT work at a Sports Medicine Physician office, before getting back to outreach AT through Community Health Network, being placed at Hamilton Southeastern HS for 5 years, and her current role for the last 3 years at HSE JH. Professional choices have always allowed focus on her first priority of family, her two sons, at whatever life stage they were. In recent years, Kristin has found time to give more back to this profession that has given her so much in 3 decades, through volunteering in the IATA for ATs Care and now in her 2nd term as Secretary. Additionally, she is on the NATA COPE committee. Outside of work hours, Kristin spends her time traveling, spending time with her sons and extended family, and friends all over.
