JOE A. HARVEY DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARDThe Joe A. Harvey Distinguished Service Award was established in honor of a dedicated advocate for the profession. This award recognizes individuals who have gone above and beyond in their service to athletic training. Recipients demonstrate exceptional leadership, volunteerism, and a strong commitment to advancing both the association and the profession across the state. |
PROFESSIONAL EXCELLENCE IN ATHLETIC TRAININGThe Professional Excellence in Athletic Training Award honors an
athletic trainer who exemplifies the highest standards of professional
practice. Honorees demonstrate exceptional clinical skill, a strong
commitment to athlete health and safety, and a passion for advancing the
standards of care within the profession. In 2015, the award was renamed
from the Athletic Trainer of the Year Award to the Professional
Excellence in Athletic Training Award. |
DIVERSITY AWARD
The IATA Diversity Award recognizes individual athletic trainers and athletic training programs that actively promote diversity within the profession. Diversity encompasses many dimensions, including race, ethnicity, age, sex, job setting, sexual orientation, and religion. ISMA TEAM PHYSICIAN OF THE YEARIn partnership with the Indiana State Medical Association, the Team
Physician of the Year Award recognizes a physician who exemplifies
collaboration, leadership, and excellence in sports medicine. Honorees
are celebrated for their commitment to athlete well-being, strong
partnership with athletic trainers, and lasting contributions to the sports
